Andrew Smith
A a fourth generation horseman raised in a central Kentucky racing home. A childhood spent at the race track led to his first job as a groom for local trainers at the then Spendthrift Training Facility on Paris Pike. After time in the Marine Corps and traveling with various sales consignors Andrew again made Lexington a permanent residence. While working for trainers Phil Sims and James Jackson he decided to make a shift from a career in racing to a less transient career of horse farming.
While time was spent at both Lane's End and Monticule Farm most of his farm education was taken up at the respected Crestfield Farm. Here his efforts focused on preparing horse of all ages for public auction. In 2002 he met his soon to be bride Bethany Milone and shortly thereafter left Crestfield to pursue the idea of Banshee Hill.
Bethany Smith
A native of Omaha, Nebraska, found her love for horse while spending time with her father, a Midwest trainer. The summers and weekends spent with Midwest notables led Beth to the University of Kentucky to make her passion for horses a reality. Working her way thru school at the race track and Lane's End her horse experience has been both academic and hands on.
From foaling manager at Millennium Farm, office manager for Legacy Bloodstock, to front person for Taylor Made Sales, she has quickly culminated the experience of a seasoned horse person. This all preparing Bethany for her extensive duties at Banshee Hill. Whether it's foaling mares early in the morning or pleasantly helping a client resolve and issue Beth is the smile on the face of Banshee Hill Farm.
Scott Mallory
A third generation horseman, is the classic story of a Bluegrass thoroughbred family. Growing up in an environment where his grandfather foaled Seattle Slew and his father carried on a successful breeding operation for almost thirty years is either inspiring or daunting. Scott chose tradition.
As a graduate of Morehead State University, Scott has held management positions at Viking Stud, Meadow Haven Farm, and Dan Mallory consignment. All of this in addition to working for the Fasig-Tipton Sales Co. and other agricultural pursuits. With the knowledge only experience can bring Scott rounds out the Banshee Hill team with extensive breeding experience.
